David Lefkowitz began his legal career in 1988, with a law firm which primarily defended insurance claims. Handling the defense work allowed Mr. Lefkowitz to obtain an insight into the approach insurance companies and their law firms take to litigation. In 1990, Mr. Lefkowitz joined a boutique plaintiffs firm and began handling claims on behalf of plaintiffs in the areas of legal malpractice, medical malpractice, serious personal injury and other complex claims. In 1999, The Lefkowitz Firm, LLC was established.
David Lefkowitz graduated from Columbia University in 1985 and from the Emory University School of Law in 1988. Mr. Lefkowitz frequently is an invited speaker at continuing legal education seminars on the topics of legal malpractice, ethics and professionalism. Mr. Lefkowitz also has written articles for legal publications on the topics of legal malpractice and legal ethics.
